Empathy, anyone?

The overarching theme of my presentation being "problem-solving though information and understanding," and "understanding" not yielding good image results, (Google Images - for all your ridiculously broad and abstract concept clipart needs) I next tried "empathy". Result- the Empathy Belly!

The Empathy Belly - modeled here by teens unhappily clutching their horrifically distended midsections - promises to "shatter the romantic illusions of teen pregnancy" (!?) by simulating "more than 20 of the typical symptoms(sic!) of pregnancy".

Are teenagers really so stupid that the only way to moderate them is through some angle of scare tactic? And isn't cultivating the attitude that pregnancy is an undesirable burden instead of a momentous responsibility bankrupt, detrimental to women, and well, asinine? How about the responsibility for new life? Or if you want a scare tactic, what about STDs? Yeah, those unequivocally suck.

As for me, I'm elated that someday I can snag a few nucleotides from some itinerant male and use them to grow an entirely new being inside me, from my own tissues, blood and bones. And that stands undimmed before the prospect of getting fat, having to pee a lot, and dealing with backaches.

But uhm, gotta grow some responsibility first. I think I can pop that one out in about ten years.
